Very thought provoking. Something I've realized lately is my procrastination has gotten worse and I'm afraid or anxious about doing things that I could manage before. After reading this I realized that it's not just good habits that have a compounding effect but bad habits do too.

I’m so glad you think so! That’s what I’m going for 😊.

I know what you mean, I’ve felt that way since the pandemic with some things. I think there was such a world shift that some of our existing habits were uprooted, and it lasted long enough for new ones to sprout and strengthen.

Now it takes a bit more effort to get rid of them. You can do it though 😌 ✨

I like this essay, Callum. I it’s a great idea to implement habits in the order of Maslow’s hierarchy. Makes perfect sense! And means you can then have layers of compounding.

Atomic Habits is a great book. Habits/routines and rituals is actually a planned essay of mine in the coming few weeks - I’ll let you know when it’s out - it might be of interest to you!

Thank you! It felt very logical to me, glad you appreciate it 😊. The compounding effect is huge, it dwarfs almost everything else in life when it comes to progress or deleterious effects.

Yes absolutely! Let me know.
